The start of the new year brings a natural time of reflection and goal setting. Often, we select New Year’s resolutions to focus on aspects of our lives we don't like and want to change.
Still, while the motivation to make a change is real, it’s also easy to lose sight of your vision as the year goes on. For example, now that we're out of January, how are your goals coming along?
Here's your reminder to keep with your vision.
To continue meeting your goals in 2020, consider these bits of advice.
One reason we struggle with our New Year’s resolutions: we think of our resolutions as short-term goals with results that come easy instead of long-term lifestyle changes that require more work. And when the going gets tough, we are quick to give up if we don’t see immediate results.
When you set your goal this year, think 10 or 15 years down the road. How will your goal change your life over the long haul? Can you see yourself still feeling motivated and passionate about your aspiration in the long-term?
For example, if your goal this year is to change jobs, have you thought about what type of profession will make you happy long-term and not as just a temporary switch? Maybe that means forgetting the 9-5 job that has you feeling stuck in the daily grind, and finding a new outlet that allows you to have more control over your schedule and income.
The sky’s the limit, so don’t talk yourself out of reaching lofty goals. For example, if your goal is to start your own credit repair business this year, don’t stifle your opportunity with doubt. Regardless of the amount of credit repair training you’ve had, or what your professional or personal background is, you can succeed in credit repair.
A prime example of beating the odds is CRC millionaire, Ashley M. Before working in credit repair, Ashley worked at the post office. She had such poor credit that she was unable to secure a mortgage when she applied. Ashley was determined to turn her financial situation around. She worked hard at improving her own credit score. She could hardly believe how quickly she was able to get results. She was so inspired by the fast improvement in her credit score, she posted her results to Facebook. Soon, a ton of people reached out asking her to fix their credit. She started helping them, with the same incredible results. With so many leads before she even opened up shop as a credit repair specialist, Ashley realized she could turn credit repair into a very profitable business. So, she quit her job at the post office, used credit repair software for the busywork, and earned over a million dollars in just 18 months. Ashley ramped up her business so quickly, her husband was even able to retire from his job.
By visualizing a better life for herself, and having the courage to work toward change, Ashley was able to turn her dreams into a million-dollar career.
Now it’s your turn: Picture yourself as the CEO of a credit repair business, earning millions of dollars, and having complete control over your life.
